Weather is starting to feel fallish. Temps are low at 50 and goes up to low seventies but this weekend we will be in the low 80's. Trees are beginning to turn a little.

Nothing interesting to report on our fall weather here but thought I would remind everyone:

It's rather interesting how the weather just suddenly changed. The 90-degree days are quickly gone and our highs are now in the 60s and 70s. We still have lots of sunshine and the trees and bushes are simply stunning with their color. Haven't had any moisture for a couple weeks now, and nothing in the forecast. It's being a beautiful fall so far.

The first rain of the season usually is in early September. This year the first rain is 21 October. It is late but we are grateful. It has been light sprinkles all day, probably not a measurable amount. Today's high was only 58o. Last week it was still in the low 80s. The weather does change quickly. Tonight it is supposed to get down to 35o. I had wanted to wait until November to turn on the furnace. Might just be stubborn and wear another sweater.
Wow. We had 0.5 inches of rain.

Had our first snow of the season yesterday...a series of flurries that melted as it fell. This morning there's a thin coating of snow on the yards and roofs, but the streets and sidewalks are warm enough to melt off.
Forecast for the next two weeks says highs of 40 and 50s with maybe some more light snow. Lows will be below freezing, so our plants have had it. Now I need the leaves to fall so I can get them cleaned up.

Woke up yesterday to see a couple inches of snow on the ground and still snowing. It finally quit right about noon, and I'm guessing we had 4-5" total. A lot melted as it fell, especially on streets and driveways, although I did shovel off mine and my neighbor's. Temps were hanging in the low to mid 30s; we did reach 37 in late afternoon.
We're supposed to be in the 50s before another chance for rain/snow the end of next week.

WSDOT Communications says four inches of snow at Snoqualmie Pass this morning, and more expected in the next week. The pass is 150 miles NW of us. Here, we are at 64o with light sprinkles expected this afternoon.

We have had some very pleasant days here. After the very light snow flurries we had, the days have been in the 50-60's and mostly sunny. A good time to get all the fall work done.

I had a goal not to turn on the furnace until November. Well I made it, but today the high was only 46o with the possibility it will drop into the 30s overnight. Think I should turn it on tonight. This morning when getting out of the shower I had a dilemma, get back in the warm water or grab the towel and run back to bed. The bed was still nice and warm even though I was still wet.
Today was our second rain day of the season. Sprinkles all day. Looks like we may have had about an inch.

Had a nice week and made progress with getting everything ready for winter. Today we had high wind warnings and chance of some rain. Mostly wind and a few spits of rain. It is November so guess we can get most any kind of weather.

Simply awesome Monday and Tuesday, upper 60s both days. Yesterday was a bit windy though. Today is very windy but still going up near 60, then dropping this afternoon to near 40 with 100% chance of rain. Forecast is lower 40s and upper 30s through next week.
I cleaned up leaves last Monday for the second time, but looks now like I was never there. Have 20 bags filled so far this season. Lots of leaves still to fall...

Most of this past week was ok to go out but Saturday was cold. The southern part of MI received some snow and I see so did the north. We see a flurry here and there but that is ok. Future outlook looks COLD. Hope we don't get the white stuff.

After our warm fall we have hit an early winter. The forecast shows that we are about to enter a week of overnight lows in the teens and daytime in the upper 30s. Have lived through much colder but am not ready for this. This evening it is now 34o but the humidity is 90%. So it will be extremely foggy which is normal in late December. The good thing is that the wind is being recorded as 0.0 mph.

Tomorrow tie high is forecast to be 32o with rain most of the afternoon. Sounds like it will be a good day to stay off the roads. Then we may have a few days in the 40s. Looking forward to slightly warmer weather. But no snow. Please leave that in NY I have done my years of climbing through feet of snow.

Snow pellets this afternoon. There has not been enough to cover the ground but enough to say that this is our first snow of the year. Most years we don't see snow until January, sometimes late December. Probably will be gone tomorrow.
