It has been raining off and on all day, what we consider rain. So when I came in from town I had to park so that I stepped into the only water hole in the driveway. More rain tomorrow, then the winds return.

The temp isn't too bad, we have no sun and fog off and on. Very damp, bone chilling. But...no snow

Our gas prices may be holding steady but the temperature is sure up and down, From the local news:
Temperatures reached 69 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. That smashed the previous record high of 59 degrees, set on Dec. 8, 1989.
The record precipitation for Dec. 7 was reported Monday, with 0.62 inches, the weather service said. The previous record was set in 1973.

We're in our third day of high winds, today being the highest. They're saying gusts over 50 mph. But temps are running in the 50s, maybe 57 today. Possible rain shower early tonight as a front moves in bringing lower temps. Rain?...in December???
Just saw this morning: Dec 9, 1975...the record high for this day was 67º. Two years later the record low was -29º. Pretty dramatic difference in a couple years!

Who do you trust? I look at tomorrow's forecast and it says 80% chance of 1-3 inches of snow. Then I click on the special weather statement, and it says we have a winter storm warning of 6-9 inches with drifting, Monday evening into Wednesday morning.
Looks like the Weather Channel's right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing! Guess we'll wait and see.

Today's forecast said 43oF. It got up to 52. You can't believe the forecast. We are having flooding that is more like March/April. Up on the roadways along the Yakima River, nothing major.

Well, we ended up with 5-6 inches of snow. The wind blew some yesterday, but not like they expected. Last night they said it'd be windy today...that isn't happening. We're at around 25 degrees now.
I used my snow blower to clean our driveway and walks, the walks for the neighbor to the north, and two neighbors across the street I did their driveways and walks. I thank God I'm still able to do that for them. Might have to charge for some gas one of these days!

We are in Montrose at Monica's for the holidays. Got here Monday. It's cloudy today and 41 degrees at one point; we did get some sleet a bit ago. There's a bit of snow around, but not much. A system is heading in, supposed to drop a lot in the mountains, don't know how much might fall here. Hope everyone is staying warm and dry. God bless all!!
