We have had a beautiful week. Temps are starting to climb back up again which is normal for August in DE. So enjoy the weather for now as everyone on Facebook is talking about the "ber" months coming. So not ready for sweatshirts and long pants. Just saying. I LOVE MY SUMMERS.

High of 81, sunny a little breeze. Did not get any rain yesterday as the weather people said we might. Mowed lawn today for the first time in over 3 weeks. Suppose to be nice this next week with highs in the 80's a little chance of rain by the end of the week.

We're into that season of ups and downs in temps. Yesterday was 94, today 84, tomorrow and Friday 79, then rising again. We have gotten several t-storms which have given some rain, but not enough. Breezy at times too.
Had a possible tornado touch down Sunday evening at a subdivision 5 miles east of town. Destroyed 3 trailer homes and damaged 13 others. Tipped one guy's brand new RV trailer into his home, destroying that wall. No injuries, thankfully. Weather service isn't sure if it was a true tornado or a micro-burst.

Suddenly the difference in daylight is becoming obvious. It's like we go through July and early August and there's not much difference, then suddenly it's getting darker way earlier! I walked Snickers last evening, and when we got home, the sun had set and some street lights were trying to turn on!! Gee whiz! That's rather disappointing!

It is now almost 8 pm and the temperature is still 92oF. We have been roasting. The forecast is for 91 on Friday. That will feel cool. But then it will be returning to the triple digit range for the remainder of the next 10 days.

We have been having rain for almost a week. 6 inches since last Friday. So now it is hot and very humid, 85 today. I think they were saying almost 90 tomorrow. More rain is forecast for the weekend. Hate to say this but we really don't need anymore now. We have standing water and mud. Wish I could send some to those who need it. One good thing is they are forecasting 70's for next week. It sounds wonderful.

We were 93 on Tuesday, 86 yesterday with a variety of wild fires, 68 today with scattered rain, and they're saying 56 for tomorrow! Like Ginny, we're supposed to have some 70s next week. Those will definitely feel good.

The forecast has changed. Around 100o through the weekend but 88o Monday and Tuesday before getting hot again. Will enjoy a couple days of "cooler" weather.
We have plenty of rain IF you count it as rain while you are in the shower.

AHHHHH......a breath of cool air has blown in. High of 72, north wind, lake effect rain showers off and on today. The weekend is suppose to be in the seventies and sunny. Next week when school starts it is to get into the upper eighties and rain showers. Today it definitely felt like fall is on its way. I have seen that the fall forecast for us, it is to be normal to above normal temps. That sounds good because they say winter is to be colder and snowier than normal.

We've been dry, temps have been upper 80s/low 90s. Red flag warning for tomorrow with gusts to 35 and humidity 10-15%. We have lightening right now to the north, and two grass fires in progress. Conditions are ripe for fires tomorrow due to this lightening tonight. Saturday and Sunday are to be 80, then some upper 60s and 70s next week.

Was outside today doing yard work. A perfect autumn day. The cottonwoods are dropping yellow leaves all over the neighborhood. Today's high was 77oF. Had a couple rain drops this evening. Forecast for the next week is the upper 70s. Will enjoy it.
