Tomorrow we have to drive to Grand Junction for a doc appointment...supposed to be near 90.
On Friday we return to Gillette to finish the moving process...supposed to be 96-98 there.
After that Gillette drops into mostly 80s with a couple upper 70s!
Like Ilene said, just need to make it through those several days!

Looking forward to cooler temperatures tomorrow. It is forecast to only get up to 91o. These past few days have been miserable.

Thursday we had 97 degrees. Yesterday it was 77. Today is to be 90, with 104 for next Tuesday. No wonder I feel so mixed up!
No rain so far this month, none in the forecast.

We have had 89-93 the past week. Today it will be less more like 83. Then it will be like this until next weekend on the 26th when it goes back to the upper 80's near 90.

We were blessed yesterday evening with a thunderstorm that gave us 1/4" of rain, first moisture we've had this month. That was after a daytime high of 96.
Today's forecast is for 106 with a possibility of a storm later in the day.
Tomorrow we cool down to the mid-80s for several days....looking forward to that relief!

WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures of 100 to 110 degrees today then 108 to 118 degrees Sunday through Tuesday.
Gov. Jay Inslee announced he was removing capacity limits in cooling centers across the state. So no social distancing while you try to cool off. The heat is more dangerous than the risk of getting COVID. Guess if the number of cases increase they can blame Mother Nature and not everyone that hasn't gotten vaccinated or wear masks or social distance.

We've actually had some rain over the last few days. The Weather Channel says we got 0.02" yesterday. I don't know where their sensors are, but we got a lot more than that at our house. Wx Channel says we have 0.26" for the month, but again, we got more than that at our house.
Our temps have been in the low 70s since Friday...very comfortable!...and we're looking for 76 today. Then we begin a climb back to the 90s by this coming Friday.

106 - Las Vegas, NV 109 - Phoenix, AZ 112 - West Richland, WA 119 - Death Valley, CA
That has to be some record for Seattle.

117o, 6% humidity, 6 mph wind.
Several restaurants in the area have closed because they cannot keep their kitchens cool enough for the cooks.
Was at the grocery store. The open faced coolers have plastic sheets across them. You are allowed to reach in and get your products. One aisle of the frozen food was blocked off because the temperature got too high and they have to destroy the food.
Tomorrow is forecast for 113o then a week of around 105o.
Vancouver, BC has reported 25 heat related deaths. It looks like the coast has cooled off. Portland, Seattle, Vancouver. But the interior of BC, WA, and OR have another couple weeks of heat.
This is beyond miserable.

Red Flag Warning for the next two days.
Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
