We've been running in the mid to upper 80s for several days. Today we have mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a t-storm, temp is 82 right now. Supposed to stay this way till Monday when it goes into the 90s for the rest of the forecast period. Rain is pretty unlikely.

Just for comparison, and my geeky weather interest, here are some numbers from usclimatedata.com for averages for July. It does show some common misconceptions: In the summer it does not rain that much in Seattle. I am not sure where everyone lives so I didn't include everyone.

Interesting stats, Ilene. Amazing that Seattle would be that dry!
For here in Gillette, according to Weather.com, June's average precipitation is 2.55 inches. For June 2016 we got .44 inch. May was also extraordinarily dry, but I don't recall the exact numbers. It's terribly dry here!
Our local paper yesterday said this would be the warmest June on record.

You get most of your rain from May to October while we get most of our's November to January. But you out do us with your average May precipitation of 3.1 inches. Our wettest month is January with an average of 1.1 inches. The only rain we got all month in June was from one big storm on the 18th when we had 0.31 inches of rain, in May we had 0.52 scattered over five days. May 2016 you had 0.73 inches, well below the average.

It is only 67 right now at 1:30Pm. Rained overnight, about 1/2 inch??? Cloudy, breezy nice change from the muggy heat yesterday. Although yesterday was really nice, I do enjoy a bit cooler. Warming up over the weekend and next week upper 80's to low 90's.

Temps have dropped. 77 and rainy. Just a blah day - glad we had our cookouts on Saturday and Sunday.
Dicky and I are enjoying an afternoon of just watching Cooks vs Cons on Food Network. This is an entertaining show. ]

Cooler, high of 84o today. Should stay in the lower 80s most of this week along with the wind. Nice.

Currently 85, which is 1 degree above the forecast high. We're cloudy and windy, but little to no chance of rain. The cooler temps do feel good...they're saying 79 tomorrow! The 10-day forecast looks like a yoyo...temps in the 70s to 90s, depending on the day. The cool-downs do make summer a bit more bearable.

88, kind of muggy, sunny. It only went down to 69 overnight. Hopefully we will get a few showers the next day. A cool front is suppose to go though Friday night then Saturday they say 74.

Just glad that we are not having any of the 115o+ temperatures that we had last year. Mid 80s is more reasonable.

So we are enjoying some warm "HOT" weather. Hitting 98+ for the last three days. Slight shower this evening. Maybe it will be a cooler day tomorrow for mowing.

Suppose to be sunny with a high of 88 today. We do have a NW wind which feels a little cooler. Tonight we are to have a low of 59, last night it only got to 74. The rest of the week after tuesday's 79 is suppose to be very warm.
Stay safe and cool if you can!

The last 2 weeks we've been in the upper 70s to lower 80s...it's been heaven! Starting today through the rest of the month we're supposed to be in the 90s with little chance of rain.
Yet, yesterday we had a small t-storm pass through, and we just did finish a good downpour that included pea-sized hail. Of course those storms bring lightening, and that often results in fires, which we did run a few yesterday. Hopefully the rains today landed where the lightening did.

I am a little bit confused. The calendar says that it is July, the hottest and driest month in this area. In the first 18 days of the month we have not hit 90o. Last year we had a number of days over 115o. And we have had two rain storms. For us if you get 0.2 inches of rain in one day it is remarkable, in July or August it might be historical. Plus today we had enough rain that the windshield wipers were needed. Will say that the milder temperatures are appreciated.

Well the "heat" is on. 93 again today. Only gets to 70 at night. Hopefully tomorrow we will get some chance of rain. The lawns are drying up again, don't think I will need to mow this week, although I don't really mind. Temps are to go down about mid week. Been swimming most days, the water was 86 yesterday. Really was nice.
