Washington has one of the highest state gas tax burdens in the nation at $0.56 a gallon, and it’s set to be in first place in 2023 by adding $0.46.
nearly doubling the state’s portion of the gas tax.
With gas prices at record-highs around the country, President Biden is calling for a pause on federal gas taxes.
But Gov. Inslee is refusing Biden’s advice – and we're paying the price.
We need a new governor.

I can't imagine what's driving prices. The refineries haven't been hit by hurricanes, the pipelines aren't experiencing troubles, the roadways are mostly open except for occasional flooding. Maybe there's a shortage of truckers.
One thing's for certain: biden's policies have been the cause of the dramatic rise in prices. What's doing these short-term variances, who knows?

At least our fuel problems are not as bad as in Europe. They are going to have a very rough winter.
Just heard a broadcast where the president of the European Union said that they were going to have a mandatory reduction in energy use to "flatten the curve."

Back up to 3.79 here in Montrose. But I use the 87 octane, and it's at $4.00 again.

Yesterday gas was $4.37. Just came back from lunch and it is posted as $4.67. What in the world is happening? I didn't actually check what it was at the pump.

I think the drain from the strategic reserve is slowing down (hopefully!) and therefore supply is weakening again. Despite Dems' belief that we can survive without fossil fuels, we're not there by a long shot! The solution is to get more oil. The real solution is to get rid of biden and his entire administration.

Everyone's gas is going up again in price, but biden is still basking in the warm glow that he feels for getting them lowered...by stealing from our national strategic reserve. Sure, it temporarily lowered prices, but cost us some national security points. And we can't afford those!

Since I had a number of fuel reward points that would expire the end of the month, I took the van to the gas station. The posted price was $4.69 but my points came out to be $1.15 per gallon. So I got to pay $3.54. It took 21 gallons to fill the tank, a good savings. The last time I paid near that price was in January 2022.
