Las Vegas Motor Speedway, is about 15 miles northeast of the Las Vegas Strip, is a 1,200-acre complex of multiple tracks for motorsports racing.

A road course and drag strip, opened in 1972.
3/8-mile short track was added in 1985
a 1.5 mile Tri-oval was added in September 1996. The first race at the speedway was September 15, 1996 with an IndyCar event. A NASCAR Truck Series race followed in November 1996.
