The company's shop is a couple miles down the road from me. If you have an extra $1.9 million you can have a very fast Tuatara. They expect to build around a dozen this year and a total of 100.
It took a jet, several drones, nine months of planning, 7 miles of empty road and one very fast car, but now Jerod Shelby and his Richland hyper car company have a new world record. Top speed was 331 mph.
The driver,Oliver Webb, said "I hope to never do that again, I actually don’t think anyone is crazy enough to attempt it anytime soon. I think it’s unwise to even try. No one needs to go any faster than that."

I have a variety of thoughts:
1) This is stupid!!
2) Records are meant to be broken though.
3) Wonder what it could do on Bonneville Salt Flats?
4) Wonder how long the engine will last, considering the extreme forces needed to make 1700 HP?
5) The driver said, "No-one needs to go any faster than that". In other words, he was scared to death!
6) Someone will...

There was a lot of side wind. He did keep the speed down because of the wind. Said it wasn't near red lining.
As they manufacture more of these cars, I hope we don't see them driving around town.
Is this company contributing to the increase in speeding tickets in the county?
I have met Mr Shelby, but at his medical devices manufacturing company. He does have a big heart. Most of the medical devices go to third world counties. But he does like speed.
