Things I never thought I would deal with my online store.
Several of my warehouses are in areas that have been quarantined because of the coronavirus Got a message that they are quarantined in their home until 9 February and can not go to work. The transportation is also stopped. So no shipments of my orders. Can't even contact them.
I have spent all day trying to find suppliers in the US for my products. Have found a few but they are more expensive, though the customers will get the orders in 4-9 days vs 15 days. I have to eat the difference in cost.
Have sent out emails to my customers explaining the situation but have around 180 orders caught up in this mess. Some have messaged me wanting to cancel their orders.
Cancelled all my ads and will replace them with the US suppliers.
It has been a very long day on the computer.
On top of this I have been dealing with an extreme toothache. Felt like the side of my head was being pulled off. Got an appointment with the dentist and he pulled the tooth. The pain is now gone.
I never expected this store would be easy work, but never expected something like this.
Have to get some sleep and continue in the morning.

Don't know if my store will make it through these problems.
Switched over to a few items that are warehoused in the US. They won't ship to Canada so I am out of that market now. Two of the items I was carrying have sold out in the US and they are waiting for shipments from China.
Nothing is shipping out of China right now. Have about 180 orders that were processed and are waiting on an aircraft to start the journy. But shipments won't start until sometime after 10 February or probably later. Some customers are understanding and willing to wait to see what happens. Others are demanding a refund. Had one lady (?) that insisted that she didn't want some infected package showing up in her mailbox. Her package left the warehouse two days before the quarentines started. Once the products leave the warehouse we have no way of getting them back. Told her she might be able to get the USPS to help her. She did get her money back but she is one that I hope not the hear from again.
Eventually places like Walmart and Target will run out of products in their US warehouses and will not be able to get new shipments. That is when more Americans will understand how interconnected the entire world is.
