I know I haven’t been here much or enough but hopefully most of you remember my kids are my absolute pride and joy! Nathan, my 17 yr old, just got his first test scores back. He is in 95th percentile and has a 4.33 GPA. He is looking good for most colleges he is looking at!

Jason, you have every right to brag! Pride in the good accomplishments of one's children is every parent's right. I assume with those scores and grades he is applying for and receiving scholarships?
Tell Nathan I also am proud of him! He ought to go far. What's his chosen field, or has he chosen yet?
A word of advice...check out all those schools and make sure they aren't controlled by socialists or communists. Too many of our colleges and universities are dens of unAmericanism!

He goes back and forth like many 17yr old but at this point he wants to get a computer engineering major with an electrical engineering minor. Fresno State is a decent school for this and actually has a full scholarship honors college that excepts 50 kids per year. He will apply but a long shot. Problem with his preferred major is many of the smaller private schools he is interested in don't have great engineering departments. His ever changing short list is Fresno State, Cal Baptist, UC San Diego, and Cal Poly. He also toys with UCLA. Cal Tech and Standford are probably a touch out of reach both due to admission requirements and parents bank account.

That is so good to hear. Glad he is studying and doing a great job. Hope he gets into a school he wants. I see your photos of your children you post on FB and it is hard to believe they are that old already. You have a right to be proud.
