You're right, it's not new information, but it is interesting. Some of the names are not familiar to me, but the overall story is.
I noticed in the one picture of Junior Johnson with his 65 Ford...that was a STOCK car. You can see the factory radiator holding tank and the inside fender lining...stock. Sure, they modified the cars some, blueprinted the engines, beefed the suspension, but the cars were mostly made of factory parts. Those were better, but not as safe, racing days.
