Is this the new face of na$car? Last week Ryan Blaney won because two other drivers, greedy for the win, wrecked each other, and Blaney coasted to victory.
Today Chase Elliot won when two other drivers, greedy for position, wrecked each other (and a couple others besides), and Chase sped away for the win.
This has been happening a lot lately. It makes the finishes exciting, which is exactly what na$car designed by keeping the cars closer together.
Apparently the desire to win, and accept the consequences if that desire fails, is stronger than the willingness to accept a good finish by just keeping going.
I'm not criticizing. The goal of every team is to win races, and those guys are going after them. I just find it interesting that they are willing to sacrifice everything for the possibility of winning, or even placing higher. I don't think I'd always be ready to do that. I guess I'm not a racing driver, but rather a racing viewer.

I may be competitive but would be happy to settle for 2nd or 3rd.
