If na$car would go way back in time, to when the teams ran stock-bodied cars, they wouldn't have this problem. The description of the sport is in the name--Stock Car Racing. Go back to factory stock body panels, stock engines but allowing for blueprinting and balancing, and go racing. The rulebook would be much thinner, fewer inspectors would be needed, the cost of racing would dramatically drop, ticket prices would drop and more fans could afford to attend. "Winning on Sunday sells cars on Monday" would become relevant again. Seems to me it doesn't take a genius to figure this out!
