I saw an article once where the author commented that "Every spring it's like God looked down on the earth and said, 'OK, I'll give you another chance.'"
From the results of this election, I think God may have said, "OK, I'll give you another chance."
Donald was very far from the perfect candidate. He is just a better choice than hillary, that's all. Now he has to prove that fact.
What causes me worry is that hillary got the simple majority of the votes! That means there are more than half of the voters who are still drinking her kool aid! They think she would be a better leader than Donald. I know Trump is a very flawed man, he brags, he speaks his mind, and he has a foul mouth. But she is an even more-flawed woman! She lies, she deceives, she connives.
There have been reports of liberals burning flags and demonstrating against Trump already, and he's not even in office yet! Did you see any conservatives doing that when obama was elected? Either time?
And now I see where California, and maybe Washington and Oregon want to secede from the union because of his election. Good grief, give the man a chance at least!
Oh well, living in the most solid red state in the union (70.1% of voters in Wyoming chose Trump), I feel pretty safe...for now.

Let's get one thing straight. Eastern Oregon and Washington are very much conservative and voted over 60% for Trump. It is those over on the wet side that overrule with their liberal views. There is the area along the coast from the Canadian to Mexican boarders that may think alike but then you have the larger but smaller populated areas that form a more similar block (WA, OR, ID, UT, MT, WY, ND, SD) Since WA is a vote by mail state it takes longer to complete the count. As of this afternoon only about 70% of the votes have been counted. Last updated: November 10, 2016 at 4:21 pm with 66.5% of expected ballots counted statewide

Colorado is similar to Washington in that there is the heavily populated Front Range (eastern) and the less populous Western Slope (west). The east is liberal, the west conservative.

Kentucky has 120 counties. Trump won 118 counties. The two counties that Clinton won have the largest number of people due to them having the two largest cities, Louisville and Lexington.
No real point just wanted to chime in.

In Michigan, the highest population of voters is down through the I-75 corridor, it runs from Saginaw, Flint down through Detroit. Mainly people who work in factories and are for labor unions. The rest of the state was the opposite. I think it is very unfair that someone you work for tells you how to vote. If I would be one of them I would find that unacceptable. I know lots of people who don't listen to the words the unions have to say and vote opposite. The newspapers here came out with front page ads before the election and said they believed that Clinton was the best for their readers. I'll not be renewing the paper. They have no business telling their readers that. They are to report facts and news. Not tell us what to do. No wonder America is fed up with the way things have been going,
Below is a link to a video that was on one of the farm shows this weekend. Mr Samuelson is spot on. If this link does not take you to the video let me know. farmprogressamerica.com/video.aspx?vc=22

Jamin, It's interesting how so many large cities that are in fiscal and physical trouble are governed by Democrat mayors and councils. Yet the people continue to support them every election. You'd think at some point they'd catch on. But if they elected conservative leaders, they'd lose a lot of their freebies. Good grief, why would they ever vote to save their city, and lose all the free stuff in the process?
The unions, like the "gimmees", always want something for nothing. Of course they support the liberals! Ginny, you are absolutely correct in not renewing a subscription to a newspaper that is so blatantly opposite to your beliefs. I hope you wrote and told them so! There is an editorial page for them to express their opinions, and for readers to express theirs via letters to the editor...IF the editor will print them.
Yes, Mr. Samuelson's comments are correct and true. From what I heard yesterday, none of the "I'm gonna leave if Trump wins" babies has left the USA yet. I think we ought to apply pressure by letters, phone calls to radio talk shows, and not buying tickets to their performances. America would be better off without them!
