Just wondering would you support the RNC interfering with the nomination process ?
I don't think they should butt their noses into this . The people are supposed to vote and chose . If the RNC is going to change the outcome why then even have the caucus and primary .Just let the RNC say okay this is who is running and that's it . If the RNC does change the outcome I think we should all stand up and let them know how we feel about them . I am not saying I am a Trump supporter but I AM SAYING I AM AN AMERICAN !!!!!!

Nothing in the constitution says anything about a two party system. As a party, the NRP can run their organization as they wish. Nothing says that the people have to vote for the two largest parties. BUT Things have evolved such that if an individual does not have the backing of one of the two major parties they cannot get enough votes to win. So we as a people have a hard time getting our voices heard.
It seems to me that both the Democratic and Republican parties have lost touch with the majority of the people. They seem to have agendas that are a benefit only for the politicians. It would be nice if we, as voters, were actually able to vote for the individual that we thought could best represent us instead of the better of the two that the major political parties backed. Ideally everyone that thought they could lead the country would be able to put their ideas and plans before the people. The primaries would narrow it down to the top five or so. Then there could be a couple months for those individuals to listen to the people and their concerns and come up with plans on how they would lead and what policies they would try to put into the government. The people would then select the individual they agreed with the most and they thought was the best.
As it is now, we have a system that does not represent the people but represents the major political parties. Trump does not represent the Republican party but it does appear that a lot of voters like what he stands for. This scares the NRP. The party is losing control and they are going to try to get what they want, which may not be what the majority of the American people want. The NRP needs to reconsider who they represent; the people or their good ol' boy system.
I do like Washington state’s top two system. Except for the presidential race, candidates can claim to belong to any party or no party. The two individuals that get the most votes in the primary go on to the general election. Sometimes it is two individuals that claim the same party, sometimes it will be a Republican and a Democrat and sometimes it will be some odd ball party that no one ever heard of.

Ilene you stated that very well and I like Washington states election way also . I hate having to pick a party in the primary as I vote American and for the person that I think will represent what I believe best for my country.
I think we should do away with political parties and take away the backing of all the big corporations in the election process. Instead of spending billions of dollars getting someone elected take that money and use it to help a good cause to help this country or donate it to pay of the trillion dollar debt.
I know wishful thinking but it would be nice.

I'm not a big fan of the electoral college and so called delegates either. Each vote should be counted and majority wins. Simple enough.

I agree Jamin .
The huge problem with delegates is they don't have to vote the way we want them to . They can be bought . If the RNC or NRP or whatever you want to call them have their way it will be a contested nomination . I believe at that time the delegates get to vote for whom they want and don't have to vote what the people of their state wanted . They can be bought , tricked ,threatened or whatever .

I have a new part-time pastime...When I turn on the tv or radio news, if they're talking about politics, I either turn to a different channel, or turn it off. I am already so sick of political jibber-jabber I can't stand it anymore. I feel almost nauseated when any of them starts talking, especially Trump, Clinton, or Sanders.
As for the GOP, RNC, RNP or whatever name they prefer, I call the RINOs...Republican In Name Only. They are NOT representing the wishes and will of the general conservative voters. That showed clearly after the last elections. If they mess with the convention, that will show it even more clearly.
I don't like the way Trump is acting or the WAY he says things, but he is saying things that most conservatives believe and agree with. If the GOP talking-heads finagle the convention against the voters, there might be armed rebellion. Or, the voters may just sit back and take more of what most politicians have been offering us over the last several decades. It's all "horse hockey", as Col. Sherman T. Potter would say.
This country started out as a democratic Republic, but has morphed into what we currently have...the rich people can afford to run for (buy) offices, and the rest of us sit outside and look in, if we're interested enough to observe what we generally can't participate in.
Yeah, I'm angry, and there's nothing much I can do to correct to offending circumstances.

Just finished filling out my primary ballot. Would like to give you an idea of some of the parties that are represented in this election: Citizens Party Conservative Party Democratic Holistic Party Independent Party Libertarian Party Lincoln Caucus Party No Party Preference Republican Standupamerica Party System Reboot Party The Human Rights Party It can bring out some strange people, such as "goodspaceguy" that is running for governor. I don't know his positions on the issues, Maybe he isn't any worse than the normal candidates.

I like that idea of the top two vote getters. At least the voters are getting to have their say! The two-party system for Presidential elections takes away much of our choice capability when you consider super delegates, infighting, cheating, and other shenanigans that the parties and candidates pull.
