Endorsements mean absolutely nothing to me, especially from celebrities. Those people are just like you and me...we all have opinions. And why should their opinion affect yours or mine? I am a free thinker, and hold my own values. They are also free thinkers and hold to their values. I will listen to their thoughts, but will make my own decisions on how I want to react to their ideas. I may agree or disagree, but that is totally up to me.
It's as if they expect us to follow in their tracks just because their name is well-known. There are only two things that make them different from the rest of us: name recognition and wealth. Neither of those means a hill of beans to any of us. So I'll just draw my own conclusions on who I want to vote for, and they can keep their endorsements.

No their opinions don't mean that they will be my opinion. I was just wondering if Nascar has endorsed candidates in other elections.... I guess I can't remember.

I guess in the real scheme of things if we tell people we support any particular candidate, then we have endorsed that person. The only difference is that famous people get in the news for doing it.
I don't remember any na$car officials ever endorsing candidates in the past. I'm sure some drivers have been quoted here and there about their choices, but I can't think of any particulars.

I don't really care who endorses who . All I want to know is how the candidates stand on different views , will they represent the people instead of the establishment , do they have the guts to get things done . I am tired of all the candidates being from the same old establishment that is in it for themselves .
I believe the reason Washington is up in arms over Trump possibly getting the nomination is because he is going to stop all the crap they are doing. They will actually have to work , represent the people that hired them , and earn their money ( bet no more raises either ).
Trump has already blown the whistle ( we already knew though ) about the Congress is bought and has admitted that he has donated to most of them so they owe him favors that he can call in . He tells it like it is and they don't like it one bit.
I don't like some of the stuff he says and does but he admits to not being PC in anyway .Just wish he would tone it down a bit in some stuff.
The people are speaking and they should listen close . We want a non establishment candidate , that can't be bought and will listen to what WE THE PEOPLE want for OUR country .

What business does Brian France have endorsing political candidates? He can't even run a racing organization worth a darn!

SORRY!! NO Trump won`t come in and do as he pleases!!! I`ve been here long enough to see this...He can talk till he`s blue in his face. But he HAS TO MAKE closed door deals!!! Or he won`t get anything done.....He will stop nothing.or will join it........IF up set with our representatives we need to vote them out......NO 20,30 or more years!!!!! This is of course, my opinion!!

More and more people are thinking like you, Nan, along the lines of term limits. If those clowns won't leave on their own accord, we, the people should kick them out. First we should vote them out, and second, if enough voters don't have the sense to get rid of them, then we need a law that will. We should have taken care of this decades ago, but better late than never.
As for Trump, I just read an editorial that said he is a freaking joke, but he's miles better than Shrillary. I agree! But I'm very disappointed that Ben Carson couldn't garner more support.
