Here in DE we are having some normal JAN weather. Lovely Chilly 28, feels like 21 and calling for possible snow. NOW if you look at the maps for our area we started with getting 3-5 inches and this has been increased to 6-10 inches. Lucky us.

Have I mentioned how much I hate winter?? We are having a light dusting of very powdery slick snow now that is causing huge issues. Friday into Saturday they are saying we could get 1-2 feet of snow!! With blowing and drifting snow, we actually are under a blizzard watch. I want warm weather and my flip flops back!!!!!!

Had an inch of snow yesterday evening at 35º. It promptly froze, and was totally treacherous this morning! But sun came out, went to 37º, and roads are all clear now.
You folks back on the east coast area...hunker down, stay inside, and be safe!

Not too bad. 20's yesterday and today, a few flurries, a slight breeze. Tomorrow 30 with some sun. It is winter. Feel bad for everyone in the track of the storm this weekend. Very glad it isn't us. Stay safe everyone.

My weather has lost its mind!!! We are firmly in the grip of a BLIZZARD!! It has been snowing since about 1 this afternoon we have about 7 inches ish. The winds are starting to blow now, hopefully we wont lose power. They say we will have 1 - 2 feet of snow before its over!! At that point I hope winter will be over also!! I need warm sun and flip flops!!!

I have to be very critical of the motorists who knew 3 or 4 days ahead of time that this storm was coming, yet went out in it anyway and got stranded. All they accomplished was putting their lives in danger, and endangering road crews like Jamin who work their tails off trying to open the roads. They are thoughtless and inconsiderate. I know cause I dealt with the same kind of people for 26 years here in Wyoming.
The traffic people advise "No unnecessary travel." If you're not going home from work, or traveling to or from the emergency room, then your travel is unnecessary! Listen to the forecasts, get your errands done ahead of time and STAY HOME!
Thanks for the story, Jamin, glad to hear you're safe.

41 degrees, sun, a breeze. Very nice, almost feels of spring. But we are to get rain and snow, a wintery mix tonight and most of the week from the sounds of it. Enjoying today!

Finally stopped snowing on Saturday nite, we spent Sunday digging out, no real way to know exactly what we got, some places were 12 inches deep others were 4 1/2 ft deep. Took 5 hours of digging to get my car out and the driveway cleared. I went out today and got some stuff we needed replenished. No school today or tomorrow for our kids, roads arent bad but alot of the back roads are only about a lane and a half which makes it impossible for school buses to travel them safely. Maybe they will go back on Wednesday, I am goign to work tomorrow for sure! On top of it all they are calling for the possibility of more snow Thursday, PLEASE NO!

I think spring fever has now hit. Been looking at all the new seed books and types of new plants/flowers for this year. And the weekend it is suppose to be sunny and in the 40's. But...we have two more months of cold left....

We have been running in the mid 40's. Finally got the tractor up and running. Was the battery and it is awesome now that the driveway has been cleaned up alittle more. Was two days trying to get out and it was the pits. We have snow that was 1 foot to drifts up to 3-4 foot. Crazy storm we got hit with.
So ready for SPRING.
