Whatever Happened to Love Whatever happened to peace Whatever happened to kindness Did we lose all of these Whatever happened Whatever happened to love
I hear em on the radio I see em on TV Saying we should pull the plug If they don't think like me
Whatever Happened to Love Whatever happened to peace Whatever happened to kindness Did we lose all of these Whatever happened Whatever happened to love
Everybody's all amped up Fueling the big divide What's it gonna take to see us Standing side by side
Whatever Happened to Love Whatever happened to peace Whatever happened to kindness Did we lose all of these Whatever happened Whatever happened to love
We've all got opinions Before we boldly share Let's take time to listen To that guy over there
Whatever Happened to Love Whatever happened to peace Whatever happened to kindness Did we lose all of these Whatever happened Whatever happened to love

Na$car has a distorted view Of what the fans really want. They think it's ok for the drivers To play and to tease and to taunt.
They think it's really ok If half the field gets destroyed. They're only looking towards next week When a bunch of new cars gets deployed.
As seen by the groups of empty seats, The fans are getting real tired. They're staying home, doing other things, In their minds, na$car has been fired!
More and more people every day Are setting their sights other ways. We're finding it's better to spend our time With families in games and in plays.
We're out in the yard, going on trips, Finding other fun things we can do. I find myself feeling much the same way... My interest in na$car's gone too.
I'd love to see them change back to the way That racing used to be. Until they do, I'll keep doing things That otherwise interest me.

The season seems to have taken a shift From warm and dry to cold and wet, Little sun seems to be the norm Hoping for no early winter storm.

Tomorrow is Sunday I don't have to pick Sometimes in the past It would make me sick Right now it's refreshing The burden is gone No more race stats I can sit back and yawn I can come to this site And enjoy all your beauty Not not just because I took on the duty

Loud As You Want To Be
You can be a mouse You can be a train You can be subdued You can be insane You can be trapped You can be free You can be as loud As you want to be
You can be a Harley Grab the handle bar You can zip around Like electric car You can be a lion Roar with glee You can be as loud As you want to be
This old world is going around People pick you up people put you down It’s your day is what I’ve found Here’s the chance to make your sound
You can be thunder You can be a quake Make us look up Or make us all shake Make us all proud Like you make me You can be as Loud As you want to be

It is that time of year When the house needs a good cleaning, I've neglected it since last spring When outside work was beginning.
Cleaning, baking, decorating and shopping Fill my days and mind, Christmas blessings are such a joy It makes the work feel kind.

I don't know why it is That aging hurts so much. My back, my hips, my hands, my neck, I guess life is such.
Various kinds of pain relief Come in caps and pills. Seems we can find 'bout everything To cure our aches and ills.
Shoveling snow has made me sore, I know I'm out of shape. Excedrin is my cup of tea, I'll relax and escape.

Today starts another NASCAR season But with it comes some angst with reason, We no longer have our favorite driver It has left us with Turn 2 dividers, It's changed so much over the years Our smiles have been changed to tears.

Once upon a time, Turn2 was alive and thriving. Nowadays it seems To be just barely surviving.
The few of us who come Seldom post our thoughts anymore. I think of our great past, And what the future has in store.

I am not sure if poor attendance here Is due to age, technology or all of NASCAR's disarray, It seems that change is inevitable for sure Just hoping our friendships stay in play.

Daytona and Dega give lots of speed action, But I find that I don't get very much satisfaction. The wrecks too often make a joke of the race, And racing in packs is a silly old waste. I guess I'm just wearing too thin on my interest... I'll look for pictures and stories on Pinterest.
But then again...it's fun to watch and chat.

When racing was real the stands were all full But the Morons at Nascar want more They wanted to fix the problem they perceived That some races were just a bore So they gave us the Chase and they gave us the stages We showed em how we feel Some races are really better than others But at least it all was real So I hear Nascar is kind of up for sale Through a depression that runs very deep The only thing I can think of that's positive I think you could buy her cheap.

The races at Daytona and Dega Are sometimes boring to watch. The cars run together, or single file, And we're waiting for someone to botch.
Last night was sprinkled with action. Stenhouse couldn't control his car, And wrecked a lot of good ones. He almost started a war!
Other guys tried, and their hopes died In sparks and screeching metal. There were big ones and there were small ones, All those parts thrown in a big kettle.
At least Eric got his first win, I love to see first-time winners! So few cars finished on the lead lap, You'd think the rest were all punished sinners!

Well, the racing season starts again soon. We wonder what will happen to Turn2's race room. Will players come back to revive The Game? Will turnout be small? The players the same?
Will anyone show up in Sunday's race chat, Or will most people think that chat is old hat? I invite all those who read of this poem... Come back and make Turn2 your old home.
