It used to jump by pennies, then by nickels...now it jumps by dimes!

4.39 is the average here. Spoke to a friend that owns a service station, his supplier said to expect a .50 increase by labor day. 😱😠A 0.50 increase by Labor Day may have been a bit optimistic.

4.999 for the 85 octane, 5.1999 for 87 octane. The manufacturers of my vehicles recommend using 87 octane. I've started alternating my fillups...85 one time and 87 the next. I'm trying to fill at 1/2 tank to keep the payout a bit lower each time, and it kinda gives me an 86 octane blend.

Surprise, surprise, Gas price is down 10 cents $5.19
Two days latter and it is down to $5.13. I don't know why but will not be giving any credit to Biden.

4 July: Our local stations have been doing something wacky for the past three days. The prices have been going up and down several times a day between $5.02 and $5.19. There are 5 stations in town plus the Chevron that is always around 10 cents more than anyone else, they have stayed at $5.27.
7 July: Three days later the gas prices seem to have settle around $5.09.

We finally dropped down to 4.82 for the "cheap" stuff.
With the news about the strategic oil reserve, I reckon I'd better go fill up before anything else happens.

The good news and the bad news
...by Mike Huckabee
Gas prices are down a little and could drop by as much as 60 cents over the next few weeks.

The bad news: It’s largely because gas (and everything else) is so expensive that Americans have been forced to cut down on driving, going out to dinner and other things because they just can’t afford them anymore, which has lowered demand. Heaven knows it’s not because this Administration is doing anything to increase supply.

I am driving to MT the end of the month. Prices will wait to drop until early August.
