Spoke to a friend that owns a service station, his supplier said to expect a .50 increase by labor day. 😱😭

Today is 4.15. Wonder what it costs to recharge an electric vehicle?

But until they make EVs less expensive and less prone to fire, I sure won't have one.

UPDATE Today I got 60¢ off in grocery points, paid 3.55!!

But that's still too much considering what it cost 2 years ago!

In NC its 4.35......$50+ to fill up my little car, Thank Goodness it gets great mileage! Jerry's truck on the other hand is 72 to fill up every 4 days 🥴

Ten days ago gas was $4.73. Today it is $4.97.

Driving home I saw one station that was still at $4.87. Topped off with 3 gallons.

With ten days to go, I am sure it will be over $5.00 before Memorial day.

Of the three stations I drove past, 2 were out of diesel and one only had regular gas, no mid grade or premium.

That was when I drove by this afternoon. Tonight I went to fill up. The sign on the street said $4.99 when I inserted my card it showed $4.99.

started to pump and looked back and it said $5.09. Looked over my shoulder and the and the sign also said $5.09. Went in and asked the clerk, he said it just changed. The price is fully automated and clerks do not change the prices.

So tonight the price of gas is $5.09.

If only I had arrived 5 minutes earlier.
