Yesterday I paid 2.98 in Delta, CO, which is 21 miles north of Montrose, which is still at 3.14. We were in Delta on business, so got a cheaper fillup.

Can't believe it, today the gas price dropped ten cents down to $2.73. That's 26 cents since the first of December. Of course I have no place I need to drive right now.

Most of the time our gas prices do not change very often. Right now they must be playing some sort of game. Today the price is up another cent to $2.76.

I would assume that these price changes are based on oil "futures"...the predicted price and usage of oil. If that is true, what doesn't make sense is that usage doesn't really fluctuate that much. Summer it's gasoline, winter it's fuel oil for heating. I realize there are differences in refining the various products, but how does that translate into the swings we see in prices of only one of those products...gasoline?
I think Ilene is right...playing games!
