One Walmart we saw was only 2.04! Of course we didn't need gas at that point.

As I've explained before, the lowest octane available here is 85, and that is what the stores show on their price signs. Right now 85 octane is $2.42, and 87 octane, which the car manufacturers recommend for their vehicles, is 12-20¢ higher than that.

It's interesting cause the other day in the paper I saw where gas prices had dropped 3¢. That was just before ours went up 3¢!

That puts 87 somewhere around 2.60 or so. Glad we got our big trip done before this all began!!

I found a new station that has 87 octane as their lowest grade, and it costs the same as what other stations are selling 85 octane for...$2.45.

Now we're headed to Colorado where I think it's more expensive...

Ginny, that's quite a price spread for only 3 days!!!!
